You've got to eat a lot of pasta, it's cheap and it's really good for you (Sam's club cells organic whole wheat spaghetti = win). Also, meats keep really well when you just freeze them, so I buy a lot of salmon and cut it up into freezer bags, then I freeze those freezer bags and pull one out in the morning. By the time lunch rolls around I can go ahead and pop it on the grill, and have me some grilled salmon.
Also a good idea is frozen vegetables, they are very cheap and actually better for you than fresh ones (Flash frozen, so the nutrients stay in rather than degrade on a shelf), I just take some mixed veggies and sautee them in about a tablespoon or so of olive oil, because olive oil is the man. I even wrote an article about olive oil.
